Did you put the maps in one of these locations depending on your os, /srv/http/q3ut4 or /var/www/q3ut4/

Oh, wow! Thanks, Travmon! The server is on Debian. So, I'm assuming it would be on "/var/www/q3ut4/?" So, let me understand, if I get additional maps for the server, I should put it on the said location as well as the "q3ut4" folder?

I shall try that later. I'm working right now, and I'm swamped.

I have "mkdir" a "q3ut4" in my "/var/www/" folder, and have transferred a map in there for testing purposes. Furthermore, I deleted that specific map from my game client and connected to the server. It asks me to press "enter" to download the said map. So, I did and it tries to download, but only up to 263 bytes. Then, it tries to connect again. Obviously, it tells me that I still don't have it since it really didn't fully download at all.

Could this be a firewall issue? Thoughts?

Oh? It's been a few years since I have used Debian and a full lamp stack. I don't host public UrT servers anymore, When I want to setup a quick server on archlinux I use lighttpd to serve maps. I place maps in /srv/http/maps/q3ut4/ut4_mapname.pk3 and systemctl enable/start lighttpd.service and sets sv_dlurl "theserverip/maps" Which simply works. If you don't need a full lamp stack and only want to serve maps lighttpd may be an easy option. this page and this page may be useful for you.

Okay, sir. I'm definitely going to try this out. It's Black Saturday, which is part of our Semana Santa, today. So, I have all day to work on this. Haha.

Tango Mike!

I have successfully gotten to the root of the problem, with the help of you guys, of course.

Apparently, we have to mirror the directory structure of the "q3ut4" folder with the "var/www/html" folder. Currently, I have placed my maps in the "q3ut4/download/" folder. So, I had to make a sub-folder named "download" in the "var/www/html" folder to make this work. Therefore, since I have placed my maps in the "q3ut4/download/" folder, then I had to also put them in the "var/www/html/download/" folder as well. Alternatively, if the maps are in the "q3ut4/maps/" folder, then I also have to put them in the "var/www/html/maps/" one.

Thanks a lot, Barbatos & Travmon, for your help!

Until next time!
