Noes sod tell it aint so, not a serious map<br />

This map is a downtown city setting.  Much much much left still to do, but heres a playable version, gl hf.<br />
Ive been worried about fps since day 1 on this map.  The layout I came up with was planned more around fps than it was a game type. i want to turn it into a decent above average (possibly good, but not poor) ctf map.  Haven’t been able to test the gameplay out yet, but as it currently stands I imagine the map being fairly well balanced for ctf, we’ll see tho.<br />

Clipping<br />
Ya, clipping gets its own paragraph.  For the less serious gametypes like tdm im not gonna do hardly any clipping leaving rooftops accessible. But because im still worried about fps, im not going to put any formal ladder going up to any of the roofs.  Some buildings are easy enough to scale up with simple jumps.  For ctf/ts/bomb ill be going all out clipping.<br />

		<title><![CDATA[ut4_pirate_land [WIP]]]></title>

		<description><![CDATA[Over at urban jumpers there's a little <a href='http://www.urtjumpers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1176' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>mapping event</a>, it's to create a fully working jump map in just 6 weeks. The event has a prize and was open to all mappers, frag, jump and icy.<br />
<br />
The organisers wanted mappers to build, test and calibrate the jumps themselves, without outside help and to their own ability. They also asked mappers to demonstrate some of the beauty thats possible with the recent engine changes.<br />
<br />
Although quite a few entered only the hardcore remain, there are some amazing entries and now we're entering the last 2 weeks.<br />
<br />
I decided to base my theme on Pirates of the Carribean but made it a more general pirate theme, it has 6 jump areas with 21 (or 22) jumps - here's a few screenshots.<br />

		<title>Random textures</title>

		<description><![CDATA[Hi.<br />
<br />
I was (already 2 year, lol) wondering about something and some good mapper thought it was impossible in urt4.1, so i post it here at the urtHD section.<br />
<br />
Is it, or will it be possible to add a bunch of textures to a map which are loaded by random?<br />
I mean this, let take a simple map like ut4_walljumps: it has 1 texture or so.<br />
<br />
Now i imagine the same map with about 20 textures. And each time the map is loaded you will get 1 out of the 20 textures, on a random base.<br />
One time its grey, the other time its green, or just a complete different texture<br />
(Or, you can load the map using a suffix, like ut4_walljumps_yellow, etctera...then you get the texture you want)<br />
<br />
Is such a feature possible in urtHD, and/or is it a good feature?<br />
For me, i think a lot of textures in jumpmaps may change each time when the map is loaded. <br />
And in a lot of fun_fragmaps you can do the same...<br />

		<title>Question about dedicated vram</title>

		<description><![CDATA[Hi, i was wondering since i often heard that urt.4 is mainly a cpu based game and not gpu.<br />
<br />
So i went to the fallinangles_ctf server, and run gpu-z.<br />
There i played 2 maps, presidio and metropolis.<br />
I have win7/64bit, urt.4.1.1, hd6870 videocard (and good cpu/ram etcera)<br />
<br />
I found out that according to gpu-z my desktop uses about 30-40 mb of my videocard. (i have a simple desktop)<br />
And with urt.4.1.1 running it used max 228 mb.<br />
<br />
I was wondering if using 228 ram (<strong class='bbc'><em class='bbc'>188 vram for urt</em></strong>) is correct usage.<br />

		<description><![CDATA[A uh..."FRIEND" of mine asked me if I know if was true that one could create a urban terror map using google sketch-up.<br />
He said that it required up-loading it and turning it into a tga. file and use <span class='bbc_underline'>what-ever-the-hell</span> a "<strong class='bbc'>bender</strong>" is to make it a urban terror map.<br />
<br />
Any one know how?<br />
And what is, and where to get this "blender" thing?<br />

If someone that carries the enemy flag dies just in front the his flag and another player pick it up and scores, does the flag carrier will gain somehting ?<br />

If someone kills the flag carrier after a hard pursuit and dies while trying to pick it up and there is another player who retrive it, does the killer win somehting ?<br />

		<description><![CDATA[I have read your forums and all the rules.Is there servers for older players.I have been gaming now for 20 years.I know Dos that will tell how long i been using PCs.My main complaint is this,when a 20 year tells me i makes mistakes something is wrong.I know the rules,no bad language,no sillyness, in fact i am willing take the abuse for someone else mistakes.Now in real life if you say that in my face I WILL BEAT YOU TO PULP.Now i was in 1up server most of them are except For one.Now i am realy laid back kind of person.He Said i couldn't shoot fast enough not Jumping enough.<br />
In simple terms my hands hurt.I dont have the speed or flexibility so i dont jump and i avoid the walls.The problem is keep getting kicked out because some stupid reason i get killed first or a grenade hits the group.Now the Urban Terror Rules say this is for everyone and anyone. I know that i am not very good and make mistakes.I dont complain and get mean.I am here to have fun, i dont care about stats or how many wins.And here is another thing they say this is a public server the next thing is they say get out i dont want you.I dont block doors,spawn shoot or get in the way.<br />
