I have a 26" LCD monitor and my resolution is 1360 x 765, and when I first opened this game the screen was messed up. So I went into the setup and changed the resolution a bit to try and get it to look proper, but then it crashed and when I re-opened the game it gave me this:

try some video card drivers? and if you already have video card drivers, get the right one.

Ugh, I think I'm going to put this in my sig, lol.

Delete Your q3config.cfg then restart the game, don't mess around with your "system" settings.

You set your resolution higher than what your monitor can handle.
Open your q3config.cfg(with notepad, etc) and delete "r_mode".

remove any trace of the video driver; reboot; install new video driver.
