Hi guys, I have a problem here.
I opened my UrT 4.2 and a message sayin' my key doesn't works anymore.
I got a new key on urbanterror.info, but this doesn't works either and when I put this on console this message appears:
"account not valid, bad authkey blablabla"

Anyone know what can I do?

sorry about my english. =/

Urban Terror 4.2: Game servers admins, please set auth_enable 0.
There is a mismatch between the version of QVM and the engine. It breaks the auth, and it can crash your game server after a while.

maybe that is why...

Put Authkey in correct place.
C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Quake3

I put it at both inside this folder and inside
C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Quake3\q3ut4\

This answer applies to windows 7.

i had same problem yesterday for a half day. i thought there is a problem with auth server, but the homepage status of auth was still active. i did not change anything and in the evening it worked well again. so there has to be a problem with client and auth system too! i also made 3 new auth keys that did not work while i had these problems.

What's the file called that stores the authkey?

It's called exactly that, "authkey" and resides in the "q3ut4/" folder.

I'm using Debian Squeeze 64 bits. Auth-systemm does not work running *.x86_64 executable, it does with the *.i386 executable (32bit libraries must be installed).

that happens because the key is pasted with like this /auth-set xxxxxxxx_

paste it again and put the cursor under the last digit /auth-set xxxxxxxx

Same problem, with Quake3-UrT.i386 works fine but with Quake3-UrT.x86_64 don't works, and both use the same authkey, so i think there are something wrong.

Confirmed. Kubuntu 12.04 64bit here with the x86_64 launcher, auth system does not work.

It cannot reach server or something like this, or can't connect to server "null"...

don't remember now but it doesn't allow to log in.

i386 works fine.
