where do u find the authenication key

On your profile there is a authenication key tab.

I just registered but im having trouble logging into 4.2. The game asks for my authentication key but when enter it it just takes me back to the previous menu. So basically I can't login. Any clues to whats going wrong? I'm using the 64 bit linux version.

Write it in the login, then restart the game (putting it in the key-box only updates the authkey file).

If that doesn't work, go into your installation folder, open the folder q3ut4, and find the file authkey. Open the file with notepad, and put in your auth instead of the 0.

auth doesn't work on 64 bit linux, use the 32 bit executable and it should work

/auth-set Yourkey

dondollaro: there’s a link on the right side of your account page that says My game auth key.

Regardless of whether you have been authed, you can play though, most servers allow this.
