Hello,

I have strange mouse behaviour. I use mouse wheelup / wheeldown to switch weapons. As long as I don't move the mouse it works perfectly, but if I'm moving the mouse I can't switch weapons. Mouse wheel seems to be ignored while moving the mouse. I have binded PageUp/PageDown just for test and it switches weapons normally even while mouse is moving.

I have Logitech G5 and it worked perfectly under previous UrT version. Ubuntu 12.04

P.S.
Tested additional two different mouses and had the same problem: A4 Tech X7 and Modecom MC-920

Regards
C64

This is a known problem with X Server 1.12 and was fixed with 1.12.3.
Which version are you using ( -> check "Xorg -version")?

Hmm... I have version 1.11.4  and my repository shows it as the latest available version for my Ubuntu. I'll check if there is any alternative repo with newer version.

Haven't read this before, sorry. In this case it's not the bug I was talking about.
Every game which uses the ioquake3 engine was affected, not only UrT 4.2.

By the way, my mouse wheel works in 4.2 (X Server 1.12.4 RC 1)
so it's not a general bug of UrT.

In fact, I have never tried this exact configuration (Ubuntu 12.04 + Urt) before (i.e. maybe the "buggy" X server version 1.11.4 was introduced with Ubuntu 12.04), so there is still hope that upgrading X server will solve the issue. How did you managed to install X server ver. 1.12.4? I found some unofficial PPA with it, but I'm afraid I'll damage all my system if something is uncompatible.

I'm not using Ubuntu, version 1.12.3 should be fine too.

Hello, I have the same problem with my ubuntu 12.04, I'm new to linux, you could spend the lines of command to place the terminal in ubuntu to correct the error? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you!

I had and solved the same problem on Arch some months ago:

http://www.bravewarr...opic,907.0.html

unfortunately links are in Italian, but google translator could help...
in any case as other mates said xorg-server 1.12.3-1 solves the problem
