I love Urban Terror, but I'm bored with the default maps. I want to encourage the UrT server admins to install new maps, but it's always a burden to find, finance or operate a proper map download server.

So I decided to setup a minimalist server with more than 500 maps. This server uses the CoralCache CDN consisting of 300 servers worldwide.
Just use

sets sv_dlURL "sebsauvage.net"

in your server.cfg

Maps are available for download there:

sebsauvage.net/q3ut4

If you decide to switch your UrT server to this map server, I would appreciate that you drop me a line by email, or in this topic (but you have no obligation to do so :-)

I will continue to add maps as I find them.

Let me know if you encounter problems with map downloads.

The server has changed, it's now:

Just use

We have 2220 maps, totaling 20,2 Go.

Is there an upload form to submit maps? There are a couple I didn't find in there, they're available on urban-zone.org but I don't know if you can afford a few more gigs of pk3s?

I have a bunch of maps in a repo that has been up for over 10 years, probably since UrT day 1, but is on a server connected to a friends private business so I can't give out the link. I have been looking for somewhere to host all the maps (for free) so everyone has access to them. Somewhere to upload some of them to would be great!

Free storage there is limited to 15GB afaik. You wouldn't manage to host much in a same directory then.
Also are GDrive files wget-able?

Don't you have to be very careful with so many maps? I remember years ago we had problems with maps having conflicting tetures and it was a pain in the butt to go through and figure out which one's caused the problems

. I have also went back and tried to find maps from 2.x days we enjoyed playing. I found ut_druglord and it is still playable with missing textures. I have added it to map rotation. I plan on trying ut_streets as well & adding it if it's playable.
