- 280 MB of duplicates,
- 564 MB of map assets,
- 146 MB of unnecessary contents.
These are the best news of UrT 4.3... Mentioned years back and finally we will get rid of all the useless assets...
How cares for some random maps... As Biddle said, there are only a few maps which are really actively played.
However, you should consider that Tunis and Toxic are allowed league maps in Urban Zone...

To be honnest none of them two maps have been played in the past 3 years. Anyways, teams have been active on third party maps like orbital, paris or tohunga more than any other :P

Would be nice to have a proper game launcher that acts as updater as well, so that you don't have to manually start the updater for updating the game and the engine to start the game.

2 things:
1) fun fact: my very first post to this thread was about that, and it was answered satisfactory imo.
2) why again was that entire text duplicated?

The Updater has a "play" button which allows you to directly launch the game once it has finished checking for updates.

Yes I saw it, but still it's named UrTUpdater[.exe|.app|.i386] and not UrbanTerror[.exe|.app|.i386] and so people on the long run will forget about it. I would personally remove the UrT icon from the ioq3 engine, and rename it to something else and then use that icon for the Updater itself (and maybe renamed it to something else than Updater, like Launcher). In this way users will start the "Launcher" that will instantly check for a new version, and they can be notified through a popup window (or similar) about a new version and decide whether to update or not, in which case they can just start the game using the "play" button. To me it looks like a 2 hours change that will only add benefits, 8.e., you can push small fixes silently on the update server and people will be notified about the patch as soon as they start the game.
