What's with the punch or boot or something a player uses that knocks back or knocks forward another player, usually team mates?

It does damage so is that the player basically team killing or what?

I have seen it used in Riyadh strategically, or Superman to propel a team mate forward a lot, but in other maps it strikes me as a sort of taunt or something.

Should I like, turn around with a DE and put them down?
However that would get me kicked.

Well no.
Booting was a fun addition to make knife combat more interesting. You can do a knife 1v1 and never get hit if you do it correctly.
I happens when you run into someone with a knife( or a pistol, or a grenade since 4.2.indunno) in hand and jump at the same time. (roughly explained)

It technically counts as team bleeding (not killing, except you actually die of those 20dmg of course), but that in no case should be a reason to shoot your teammates. Never shoot your teammates anyways. TK in retaliation is still (intentional) TK is still ban-able on basically every server.

Is it annoying to get booted? yes. Most of the time it isnt intentional though. i personally forget i can boot teammates with nades in hand a lot of the time on a nade rush. Granted i actively boot teammates to get them out of the way sometimes as well...

Basically, deal with it. You can be pretty sure they are not doing it intentionally.
Possibly it happens because you are moving "too slow", so they simply bump into you.

Well then, they are idiots and should get banned. report them to the respective server admins i guess.
