hell. just a few things easy - i guess - to implement:

1. bring back the possibility to boot someone with prejump like it was in 4.1/ 4.2. in 4.3 you can't no more boot someone by walk into him with pressed the jump key.

2. number of deaths should be changed with the number of assists on scoreboard.

3. auths of players on spec should be displayed as well as those who are in game. it could be handy in pickups for example.

lol. this wasn't a bug but a feature. as well you can say that reloading a gun while bandaging is a bug and fix it. but nvm.

Well I am curious was it fixed just for being a bug with no more thought going into it or did you talk with testers about the pros/cons of keeping it? If it's going to be standard to fix bugs just for being bugs than I'm sure you know that the fast movement in this game that sets it apart from being just a CS clone wouldn't exist as it originally was a bug in Quake.

there was nothing game breaking with this bug and all it did was act as a bit more advanced booting mechanic, adding a tiny tiny amount of more depth to the game but nothing negative.

I would say that just holding down jump key and walking into someone is kind of "easier" than actively jumping into someone with the correct timing. So there is a reason behind fixing this. On the other hand reloading while bandaging, is different: First-off: You need to start the reload first. 2nd: It actually a good feature. It speeds up gameplay (shorter times out of combat), and it allows you to retreat somewhere, bandage and when an enemy pushes you, your gun could already be reloaded. Otherwise, reloading would "always" take priority, and as such players would be forced to bleed even more HP than you do right now.
Sorry for my bad spelling - I am still asleep. :)

How advantageous it is in a knife/boot only battle have no relevance. As the only way for UrT to get some footing in the game industry and as a esport is as a 5vs5 or 6vs6 CTF all weapons included, so it makes no sense whatsoever to balance the game around if when a player(s) want to agree to use only knife/boot for fun.
Which leads to the flaw in ur comment.

This bug made it far easier for anyone knowing the trick to boot someone by just walking around with the jump button pressed, whereas other people had to precisely aim and jump at the right moment to hit some other player.

That is not the way to play UrT.
We move around by continuously jumping and so a sequence of jump > jump > jump > jump > boot is easier than to jump > jump > jump > jump > hold jumpkey > walk into enemy, because the latter sequence involves breaking a otherwise straightforward repetitive pattern.

so it's a more difficult technique (relative to the normal way, it's easy to learn the technique) and doing it results in consuming less stamina (you do one less jump) and a guaranteed boot because there is no timing involved. However while using the technique you can not move in the vertical plane which you may want to do for dodging purposes so it is not that black and white and that is what depth involves, giving players a choice of what mechanics they want to do depending on a situation and there is definitely a place for both techniques to be used.

if someone plays this way, then he must be some kind of idiot.

The boot bug wasn't any of this and added nothing interesting to the game

pre-boot technique was an interesting feature making urt somehow special, it was useful especially when blocked by someone while carrying unlocked grenade.

@fredrik waste of time - you can't reason with fs
