The rapid` Tutorial Series

New Urban Terror tutorials down the road

Before coming up with our end of year greetings, we have some last minute candy to share with you.

The old folks hanging around for some years can remember The Daily Nade webmagazine. Providing a global coverage of the games' news, it was also offering on a regular basis some tips and tricks for its players.

Some of you might also have heard about rapid`, a young German player known in Urban Terror's top eSports spheres for playing with Glory and de Team Germany. In the Daily Nade's spirit, he decided to dive into the big ocean of gaming tutorials and delivers us today his very first piece.

For this number one episode, the focus will be the game's most popular sidearm: the Desert Eagle.

Enjoy and maybe learn something! As glory.rapid` likes to say train or keep crying!

I watched the video a couple times and seeing it was part of the reason why I decided to rejoin the forums. Thx for inspiring me btw :). It wasn't until I saw the post in the newsfeed for a third time (more recently) that I thought to click the link to this thread so I could express my appreciation.

I'm sorry I didn't put more thought into my reply, but I really did watch your video :). I suppose I just assumed you would complete the series. The commentary is very thorough and I think it was certainly well done. If I may offer a suggestion, maybe pick up the tone a little bit though :P

You seem to be a very sharp player, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing you in-server.

Also, wouldn't it be great if there was a player-blog section on the site?

What do I say to that? :P It's a way to contribute in addition to play by sharing knowledge and helping to nourish the community. I feel like there are a lot of people who decide to play Urban Terror casually because they have a sense of its' depth, but are unwilling to fully acknowledge it. At a surface level, it may seem like UrT is a simple game, but I think the more people 'bring it out' and represent it and share the core gameplay, the better the experience for everyone.
