Hi there,

My Urt is starting, but when I click start server it just freezes.
When I try to connect to a server it takes a couple of seconds for every item, after 5-10min of loading it will be fully loaded and it freezes at awaiting connection.
I've played on this computer before with no problem and about 20sec of loading time.

I'm not sure what I can do about it, I have reinstalled the whole game and have the same problem.
Does anyone know what to do about this?

I would ask for specs, but if it worked before, its probably a software issue. Here is a few things you can do.
  • Check your disk usage (while loading UrT and while "idle")
  • Check if similar things happen in other applications/games.
  • Check your disks smart data. (just to be safe)
  • Try to find what has changed on your system since the last time you played. (updates, av software,...)
  • reinstall with a clean config (keep your old one though, if the reinstall solves it you might be able to reuse it)


Note that, depending on your network speed, you might just want to spend the few minutes while redownloading the game (or even extracting it, if you have a full .zip) while checking the other things.

Thanks for your answer Iye. I tried all of the things you mentioned and one of those 'rewrite all data on your drive to get rid of errors' kind of things.
None of them changed anything, but the recent update did fixed it for me.
Dunno what changed, but its all working again now.
