BSP to MAP ?

Hi all,
I want to work on a map I made a while ago, it's called York_v4 wich I haven't posted on the forum yet. I want to edit it but I only have the bsp file. I believe there was a trick to convert a bsp file to a map file?
But I've tried bsp2map and winbspc already without results.
Anyone has an idea?
Thanks in advance.

I use the windows batch script from landouille to do this.
You just need to edit the Q3MAP2_PATH to point to your q3map2.exe and GTKRADIANT_PATH to your mapping folder (ideally containing the texture and shaders for the map you are trying to decompile).
Then save the file as a .bat, drag the .bsp file you want to decompile on it and follow the instructions.
... Or you could just use the command line to run q3map2.exe with the switches

How can I get that script working? Do I have to copy and paste it somewhere?
Open your notepad, paste the code there, change Q3MAP2_PATH="" to Q3MAP2_PATH="<path to your q3map2.exe>" and GTKRADIANT_PATH="" to GTKRADIANT_PATH="<path to your mapping folder>"
Save as .bat (any name will do, e.g bsp_to_map.bat)

What exactly does it say is not an recognized command?
while my batch isnt the best, and i would get super annoyed at those two pause statements, i cant see any error in that script.
Please also note that you have to call the script like

Sorry for my bad spelling - I am still asleep. :)

So that basically means any given name, but with the right extension .bat and .bsp behind it? I have that and I drop the .bsp file onto the .bat but it says it is not recognized.
Does it matter much in what kind of folder I do this? For example Documents, Data, C, Desktop...? And do I need to have certain additional files in that folder in order for it to work?

It shouldnt matter where the .bat file is located. The question is that the error message reads like
and the question is what 'a' is for you.
I would assume the q3map2 path you set is incorrect, as thats the only one actually called.
Im not entirely sure how this "drop onto" thing works, but assuming it just passes the file as arg1 it should work. Just checked. it does.
'a' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

I forgot to put q3map2 behind it. Now it works :)
Just some models missing and the sky texture. To replace this sky, does anybody remember the shortcut for selecting everything from a certain texture so that you don't have to click one-by-one?
Also, some textures have been out of their scaled setting. For example a window texture is being shown like double, two halfs. What was the shortcut for this again?
And last, the view in the 3d window is turning away like 50% of the times that I stop with moving my mouse. It automaticcaly spins sidewards or upwards?
