My Quake III stopped working today, it gives me this error message. Is this telling me since my old monitor resolution was set to 1600 x 1200 and my current one can't go over 1024 x 768 so the game isn't loading? Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

"btw, google goes DoS when pasting that line onto it". Sorry about that, also the resolution settings were 1280 x 1024 not 1600 x 1200, my bad. This is the error that comes up......

go to the q3config.cfg in your q3ut3 dir and change r_mode to 6. Also change it in any other configs you might exec (autoexec.cfg for example).

Thank You, changing the r_mode to 6 fixed the problem, if only all things were so easy to fix..... thanks again. Time to go hunting
