Presented is an internal test map named Grand Hall which is one of the maps we use to test new ideas intended to improve both performance, looks, as well as how off the shelf applications can be added as part of the creative tool set available to the mapmakers on our team.


For testing purpose the amount of detail put into this map goes far beyond the requirements of the average map. As part of our dead load testing procedure this map helps us to figure out where the deep end actually begins based on the engine improvements made to overall performance while maintaining the required frame rates.
