Since #urtpug is dead, we've begun work on a new pugbot and community. It can be found at #pugbot on gamesurge or http://pugbot.com. It's only two days old, so it's still a work in progress, but it will be open source, so this type of debacle will never happen again.

You can join and play in a pug today. There's also a scrimbot that will keep track of clans looking for scrims. It will let one clan challenge another too.

Some of the features in the works are player stats, rankings and the ability to automatically pick teams based on skill instead of using random captains.

We won't be holding a channel hostage and the pugbot will always be open source, so if you don't like #pugbot, you can make your own pug channel. If you are interested in being part of the development team, please express your interest in #pugbot.

you forgot to mention it's cross network. #pugbot on quakenet also works.

Anyone with a spare server could always consider donating it to the pugbot team.

This thread should replace the urtpug sticky, since that one is dead and no longer supports any servers etc.

what happend to the other? and is both the european and american pug dead?

The creator of the other american one just took off and left everyone high and dry... idk what happened to the euro one.

We are working on making #pugbot more euro friendly. I the current running bot should have geolocation that picks a server that is most central to the people playing the pug. Once we have it using idle servers instead of dedicated ones, that will mean a high probability of getting great pings for most players in the pug.
