The tactical goggles really need to only see the enemy, the amount of times i have killed a teammate because of this is insane!
Thats the drawback of having them...
You can turn them off/on with the "use item" bind so you only activate them when you need them (smoke or 1v1 situation).

Yeah you know making the tac goggles a bit more useful has always been in the back of my mind.
Ideas lets hear em. ;)

Make smoke more usefull so you can use tacs to counter it :P
There was a thread about the smoke nade some time ago.
As for tac improvements, pretty hard to think of anything... maybe it can trace footprints? :P
So all players leave footprints on the floor and they get highlighted by the tacs?

All you need it to do is to not pickup teammates, as it is impossible to tell whether they are your teammates or not as it kinda blends them all into one.
But the entire point is that you can't tell the difference. It's intentional. The drawback to having easy mode engaged is you lose peripheral vision and you can't tell friend from foe without hovering them to see their name.

Shouldn't you not be able to use scopes very well with tacs on?
Improvements: Make players show up as a different colour instead of everything being the same shade of colour.
I use yellow tacs, but it would be cool if it showed the players as red. enemies and friendly
