Have
* i7-4770, 3,4 GHy, no overclock
* 32 GB RAM
* GeForce GTX 960 2 GB Gaming
* SSD

3 Screens, 2*23 (DVI) and 1*27(HDMI)

playing under
* Ubuntu 15.04 still only 1920 * 1080
** Win 8.1 here since 1 hours got 5760 * 1080

here the autostart.cfg

Quote

seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_customwidth "5760"
seta r_customheight "1080"
seta cg_viewsize "180"

so seta cg_viewsize ???
is that the right one,
is the max 110 ?

or how to solve to get 270, or even 180 degrees ?
the max 110 I played now some maps is great but hard to accept

cg_viewsize caps at 100, by logic. its the percentage of the viewable area displayed. (not even sure if it does anything, never touched it)

you apparently want to change the Field of view, which is cg_fov. now the fov is limited to a range of 90 to 110 by the game, and there is no way around that.

you can check on most Cvars here: click me
Sorry for my bad spelling - I am still asleep. :)

actually I remember this one guy in a thread that posted a picture of his screen, he somehow managed to get a higher FOV than 110 and you could see the back of the gun and the unrendered upper part of the arm.

When watching a demo you can use the CVAR cg_demoFov with values higher than 110 :)

Thanks, you hit my request, but sadly no way. I use now 270 - but no change.

As you can imagine that 110 Degrees spread onto 3 Screens looks too strange
Have to see, maybe I can let the Game start with 110 Degrees but using just a part of the right and left Monitor (each about 15% of view), than the sideview comes also in, but all isnt stretched like now.

Frame-rate is 120 and below, so there is no Problem.

Well the guy was playing with a modified binary or game providing him with unauthorised advantageous "features" I assume.

I don't think he was cheating. It might have been a devmap game or some sort of bug that allowed him to do it, but the reason he created his thread was so he could point out that the forearm wasn't textured.

Please ask him if possible. This is not a cheat in my opinion, this is an feature for make UrT more interesting.

I tried:

Quote

seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_customwidth "5760"
seta r_customheight "1080"
seta cg_fov "180"
seta cq_demoFov "180"
seta cg_lagometer "1"
seta cg_mappos "4"
seta r_multiCpu "1"
seta r_multiGpu "0"
seta r_multithreaded_device "1"
set rate "25000" // Max Datarate (B/s) [int|8000..25000|def=8000]
set cl_maxpackets "42" // Maxpackets to server [int|30..42|def=30]
set cl_packetdup "2" // Duplicate Packets [int|1=double,2=triple|def=1]
set ut_timenudge "0" // Local Net Buffer(ms) [int|0..30|def=0]

but no changes, no effect.

Other settings show my other research about my Problems with bad ping here from Thailand.

I'm not seing the feature as "not interesting". And you're not the first one to ask for it. A lot of people have been asking for a larger FOV over the years. All of the Quake players have been pinching us regularily for that feature to be implemented. Even Nounou in our dev team dreams of it!

As you can see if you try a larger FOV with a demo, the arms and some weapons were only textured for a FOV up to about 125. So, allowing players to have a wider FOV would also require to rework the player and weapon models and maybe even the animations.

It's not something impossible to do, but at FS, our artists work exclusively on Resurgence nowadays.
