Mbase 2 is an update to the map mbase made by Gerbil! during the 1.27 era. This map features an abandoned base in a night setting. Notable here is the fact that mbase2 is one of the few re-makes that have been done with the original author's permission and consent, and as such stays pretty faithful to the original version, as much of the original layout of mbase is intact. There are extra areas which have been added by MidgetKiller to address gameplay issues from the original, as well as the addition of 3.x game modes, and also some additional cover in the outside areas, something absent from the original.
