uhm the catalyst drivers support all versions of there cards afaik

Not under Win7 they don't Muff!e

The 9200 isn't even Vista certified, so there is little to no chance that they will work 100% under 7

The only way is to get (at least) a Vista compatible card, something along the lines of the HD3850 AGP or the (upcoming) Radeon HD4770 AGP

Or an Nvidia card that supports at least WDDM 1.0 (Vista) or WDDM 1.1 (Win 7)

First of all: please don't revive 2 years old thread. Especially if the problem is nothing as "the same" as what you're having.

Second: The NVIDIA Geforce 8600GS (released on April 2007) is supported hardware with drivers available for Windows 7. Very much unlike the Radeon 9200 (released on June 2003).
You should install a display driver for your graphics hardware and Operating System: http://www.geforce.com/Drivers (like GeForce 285.62 Driver)
