Yeah 4.2 is even worse than 4.1 on OS X, it's really bloody slow at loading maps too ... over a minute for some of the larger ones is ridiculous, i have an intel SSD for *@!# sake, there must be some serious bottleneck in the engine somewhere. But whats even worse is the frame rate on 4.2 i don't really see how it's much of an upgrade except for the auth system, the engine performance just makes it more and more unplayable for me. I was actually seriously considering cidering the windows engine and too see if it runs faster.

Yeah, after the last update my FPS dropped hard. Whereas before I was at 100+ now I'm down to 15-20... It's somewhat unplayable now with large maps or massive firefights.
