Texture Artists! It is time to work your magic! Texturing artists are expected to provide three brick textures (which may be completely random or potentially used in conjunction for a particular theme). If you’re going to crib from outside sources, make sure you have the correct copyrights.

Submission Requirements:
- Three separate textures must be provided with both _b or _n maps. We request that you submit a .psd of your texture with all layers intact.
- For textures to be considered, you must also provide all relevant .shaders.
- Provide screen shots of your textures in game.

Make a specific forum post in the competition section for consideration using the following format (Author’s Name – Brick’n) and email your submissions to pizzyre@gmail.com before the 5th of each month for consideration. Good luck!

Whatcha think bout those bricks in my sig? anyways, what if we don't have photoshop? That doesn't seem fair.

Damn, i dont know how to make bumpmaps btw

Slackin: You may also use gimp (free and also a decent bit of software). Submit GIMP .tiff's with all layers.

Expand this competition to all kinds of textures for use with Bump Mapping in 4.2.

Or a 'Bump Mapping Textures' competition.

A repository for future maps.

Yea, I've been making all my textures in the gimp ;] It comes with my distro and I am quite familiar with it.

If you need help making normal maps(bump maps) in the gimp, I can help you with that. That's how I've been making all my normal maps.

I dont know how to make these "gray" images with _b suffix heh. For normal maps i found nvidia substitute for GIMP.

No, it unfortunately isn't due to a lack of contestants. If there is a revived interested and someone else is willing to take charge, I can have it re-pinned.
