I waited for something similar for years! Thanks for your excellent job! I'll test it this evening!

Indeed this is a great app!!
The speed in wich it queries the master servers is blazing fast.

I would like to ask you if you could include some features i enjoy very much in XQF in order to ditch it:
  • Add a column with the country flag for the server location;
  • Add a "Refresh" button below the existing "Search", sometimes I just want to refresh the serves status without making a new query;
  • Add a "Stop" button to stop the query at any time;
  • Add a kind of remote RCON console tool similar to XQF;
  • I would also like to be able to set column width (PW, Servername, Address...) and save its current settings when exiting the program;
  • Sort columns Player/Kills/Ping on the server list (lower left);
  • Save the current Query Parameters/Filter/Gametype filter settings on program exit;
  • Double-click any server on list would connect to it.

Other than that this is perfect!!
Keep the good work ;)

This should work on windows right? The APIs appear multiplatform (Python and GTK).

thx.
Some of this points are already in SVN (country flags, filter save) :biggrin:
I'll add the rest to my ToDo list (if not already there).

Yes, should be possible. Courgette here from the forums sent me a patch to make it work under windows. But as I don't have a windows box here, I can't test it.

I quickly tested it: a REALLY nice job. The best server browser from ASE times.

I also add my wish :happy::
- automatic buddies search at startup with name highliting for buddies that are online.
- once UrT launched, UrTSB remains stuck until UrT have been closed again. It should be nice if I can use UrTSB for other servers checking, even if UrT is running.

To Whom it may concern (maybe some fellow Debian Sid Users):

to get this baby running, I had to install the Debian package gir1.0-glib-2.0 [1]. Since I am not very familiar with GTK and Python dependencies, I had to google into the Debian Bug Tracker [2] until I found out about this.

Thanks for the effort about this project, never cared enough about XQF to give it a serious try but I was waiting for something like this.

Yours,

Martin

Thanks for writing this. I am interested in downloading the latest source from your svn trunk, but I see this message on the project's download page:

Quote

# Non-members may check out a read-only working copy anonymously over HTTP.
svn checkout http://urtsb.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ urtsb-read-only

You won't release the full version to "non-members"--what is this membership?

That means you don't have access to commit changes to svn. You can only download the source. For commiting the changes you probably need to be member of the project or something like that.

You just run:
svn checkout http://urtsb.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ urtsb-read-only

And you can change "urtsb-read-only". That is only the name of directory that is downloaded to. And you will get full version... Of course you need subversion installed

Hi Sorcerer,

May I suggest you to remove the ServeList::update_selected_row method. This method makes sorting on the ping column ubber frustrating.
If we need fresh info, we can click the refresh button, so I would just get rid of update_selected_row

Continue to improve this nice piece of software
