new release: 0.4

Now available for both Linux and Windows:

The windows release was only tested with the help of a virtual
machine and not with a real windows installation, so please give
me feedback if it is not working as expected.

list of changes:

• applied patch to make UrTSB work on windows (contributed by Courgette from the urbanterror.info forums) + some more changes needed to provide a windows version of UrTSB
  
• make use of python distutils (UrTSB can now be installed by calling "python setup.py install")
  
• adding a server manually to the favorites now handles the host to be specified by url and not only by ip
  
• added logo/icon
  
• new filtering panel - advanced filter. The old basic filter panel remains the default. The new advanced filter panel can be activated in the settings.
  Features:
  • more filter options: g_gear (incl. g_gear calculator), custom variable filtering, servername and mapnamefilter.
    
  • Refresh of the Serverlist without new master server query
    
  • Direct server lookup by ip:port or url:port
  
  
• added abort button to abort a query/search/refresh.
  
• display servername on rcon window
  
• two new context menuitems: "copy address to clipboard" and "copy name and address to clipboard"
  
• added commandline option -d (or --debug) which activates debug output
  
• added status icons to buddylist (online/offline)
  
• removed update selected row on refresh
  
• added option to start a buddysearch on startup if the buddytab is set as the default tab
  
• window now remembers size and position

Nice.
For teh nabs:
'Search' has to highlight that's where it all begins. It took me 2 minutes to figure it out. Or it needs an obvious 'USAGE' file or popup or anything.
Put a 'browse' thing if possible on executable/path and a default action to ask the user for it on first run.

why is server list gone when I press 'save'?

That's all, I only looked it for a while. I'd make it prettier in GUI but not extremely complex since part of the beauty of a good app such as this is to not be confusing and take 9999 to work.

Something changed between this version and one of the earlier ones where it doesn't actually connect.

Also RCON type-in nice addition but it truncates quite a lot, so if I do a status I only get the first half of what I'd expect to see.

Hi Johnnyenglish,

is /home/john/bin/urt a (shell-) script?
If yes: Does it start with a shebang?
I reproduced the errormessage when using a script without a shebang line.
With shebang (in my case #!/usr/bin/env sh) connect works.

Hi everybody !

I am a Mac user and I use your browser now.

The method : http://gtk-osx.sourceforge.net/

All is ok, but I have an error with encodage when I refresh all servers (think it's on the name of one server with an accent or maybe something like this)

/Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/urtsb_src/urtsb.py:112: PangoWarning: Invalid UTF-8 string passed to pango_layout_set_text()

So the app quit...

Do you think it's on my Python Mac or an error in your program ?

Easy to configure this ?

I can see the same warning but the App proceeds.
Nevertheless I should handle encodings better.
I made a quick attempt to fix the warning for you:
Can you please try to replace your file q3serverquery.py with this one

I don't really know where remplace the file so I put the file in the directory "build" of the application, created after installation in the "same" directory of the sources.
And in the directory of Python 2.6 of my Mac.

Hi Sorceror, im think that your work is great, a beautiful program but.. are there any chance of adding a language system like gettext or another custom ways? this functionality would be a great improvement I think

I already thought about internationalization earlier but due to less time I first concentrated on other tasks.
