It does already have a nice Japanese garden vibe to it. I agree with the idea that a latern-lit night scene would be really cool.

A hexagon is basically a square with chopped off corners. So i guess clipping tool is what you need for it. Sides would more or less be same, except they'd be smaller. Looks very nice btw.

I did manage to make a good base, the problem came when I made the roof. Angles and things are not my strong point

Johnny made a good roof when he got home so maybe tomorrow I give his method a try. Thank you for all your ideas btw

Simple but effective. But that roof..it's just too massive, looks so heavy. Especially compared to those thin wooden beams.

if its oak or something similar it will hold

but its a nice pound .. it would be shame not to host some nice fishies  (i.e. classic koi carp) but plz dont put dead ones like in sanctury

The atmosphere u created is really cool.
The dark horizon fits with the laterns and so on.

But I must agree with Rav3n: the roof looks a little bit too massive.

@I-Q-I: the idea concerning the fishies is awesome.

I tried to give the bridge a rest today as I was a bit at a loss of what else to do. So after playing around with gimp a bit I worked out how to make a height map (I hadn't started out with the intention of using it myself though).

But when I realised how easy it was, it wasn't long before I had a new terrain for the bridge to live in.

So this is what Iv been up to this evening.

P.S. John I hope you like it

Since making the new terrain yesterday I have so much more inspiration and motivation to finish the bridge.

Johnny helped to pack the map and we've had a test on bumpy.

Here are the bumpy screenshots
