Does the resolution change a lot my FPS ? I've heard that the best for a LCD is to run it under its native resolution (1600 x 900) for me. The small one are ugly. Anyway, i'm ok with 100 fps (except in ut4_raider, too much grass and trees).
Just like you, i'm afraid that urt HD will cause massive FPS drops. Let's see. Fortunately, all graphic effects should be disabled.

Hi all,
Sorry for creating a new topic about fps issues but i have massive fps drops in some maps and it's definetly annoying.
So, i have drops in uptown when i am next to the trees near the blue flag, i have some in orbital_sl too when i am standing in the garden (near the red flag), and in some other maps too.
It happens even if i am the only player on the server. I have a config with low details but that's not solving my problem.
I have a clean hardware and my computer isn't old.
Here are some screens : http://img88.imagesh...g=shot0003f.jpg
I normally run with 84 fps without drop, but some place...
Am I the only one with that specific issues ? I hope that someone could help me to fix this.
Cheers

I used to play with a dual core T3200 and an ATI Radeon HD3470.
As advised i buy a new laptop : intel core i5 with an ATI Radeon HD 5470. It's a lot better.
I can play with 125 FPS now except on these areas... But with 100 FPS constant, it's more than enough for me.
I just hope that with the new release my fps won't decrease. As far as i know, the current engine of urt doesn't handle well GPU and CPU (for exemple : multi core issues). And urt is working well on old computer...

It depends witch system you use, for example on Windows XP I have in my demo (custom demo) in timedemo 1 140fps and on the Debian Linux 180 fps! I is because on Windows I have 80 percent cpu use (Core 2 duo) and on Debian 100 percent.
It's funny to say, but its true that in Urban Terror Linux rocks!
BTW I have exactly the same card like you ATI Radeon HD3470 and curiously Windows drivers should be better than linux drivers. Maybe is true but Linux wins in this competition ...
