Try:
Download the Windows XP driver package for your ATI 9200.
Extract the package, this is automatically done if you launch the just downloaded executable.
Then go in Device Manager, select your Graphic Adapter, right click and choose "Update driver software".
Then choose the option to browse your computer for the driver, and go where the ATI Driver package was extracted, usually something like "C:\ATI\Support\blablabla...\Driver.
Then click next, next etc. etc and restart the computer.
It might be a workaround.

I have the same problem in Windows 7 Professional Edition. I have a Nvidia 7300GT and its drivers for W7, but the message about the OpenGL still appears. I modified the q3config to set r_mode "6" (to restore 800x600 maybe for resolution problems) and the r_fullscreen "0" , but it does not work and still showing me 'could not load OpenGL subsystem... I think the problems has to see with Win 7, but please help us.

Maybe you have a good reason but else why the urge to swich to Windows 7 when you have old hardware. It's not like Windows XP is outdated and can't run anything anymore
It is because I get a Legal Version of W7 for free (Education issues), before the 22 October release is done.
