I am currently looking into getting one or two flat panel lcd's, possibly from sony, or samsung...

During my research so far I've got a couple of issues holding me back from taking action...
A. Dead pixels
B. Ghost trails at high fps rates?

Do any of you have lcd flat panels and are these reviewers just being too picky about it?

Here are a couple of links to what I'm thinking about getting:

One of these:

One of these:

Or two of these:

would you recommend getting just one, or is two much better?

thanks!

I have the SyncMaster. It's the best screen I've ever owned. Period. I've had it since december and not much bad stuff has happened to it.

[edit]also go to newegg.com much lower prices.

actually some of the stuff on dell is cheaper, and dell offers payments no intrest until 2005... newegg doesn't do that kind of stuff.

I use the Sony SDM-X82 18.1" with the dvi connection for gaming. No dead pixels and no lines with high fps. Sitting next to my sony is an LG Flatron 915FT Plus. It's a sweet picture too, but I prefer the lcd to game.
