i prefer the cheaper dollar per inch crt's since im a sucker for large screen monitors and i'm not too obsessed with a thin, light monitor

therefor i'd pick a nice 21" crt monitor over a 17" lcd any day

-i currently have 2 21" crt's and im keeping an eye out on ebay for a 24" crt ....if i can ever find one at a robbery price im going for it

2 of my friends have Syncmasters, 19". I can't stand playing even UT on them. The blur is just plain anoying, and really detracts from the overall look.

For example. At high resolutions you're better off turning off AA, the edges blur together so much that all you get is a jump in frame rates.

If you're a serious gamer, I don't think you'll like the flat panel.

I got the 19" version of that one...it was like 400 bucks with my company's discount through Dell. 75Hz on DVI too!

How is it? Any ghosting etc? The same fears have been holding me back
from LCD.

i dunno, i haven't got it yet...

i'll post about it once i try it out. this model supposivly doesn't have ghosting because of the 16ms response time... there may be a little but not noticable.

his 19" has 25ms, and has little ghosting... so i would imagine at 16 it would hardly be noticible.
