Hi,

I've read the faq about installing urban terror under Linux. I assume that this is a common installation guide for linux versions? I'm running debian 6.0 squeezy right now.

Reading the faq the only thing i have to do is download the file, extract it and make a shortcut to the executable file (change the settings first) and that's it??

you got to make ioUrbanTerror.i386 or the 64bit version executable (chmod -x, or maybe theres a checkbox in the properties menue of the file -dont use debian-) and run it/make a shortcut and run that

Hey fellas -
Running Debian Squeeze 64 bit...

I downloaded the zip from a couple different locations.

Made both files executable, tried the 32 bit, nothing, tried the 64 bit and got this:

I get the same error under Ubuntu on ioUrbanTerror.x86_64 no HUD
Just run the ioUrbanTerror.i386
Also if you ever plan on running a server the i386 build offer much less over head, but make sure to download the patched file on the bottom of the download page to replace your current ioUrTded.i386

As I said, I did try running the 32 bit file, nothing happens.

Any ideas??

my bad I missed that.

Did you poke the permission to allow executing? if so install ia32 libraries

that fixed me up when I got the "./ioUrTded.i386: No such file or directory" on my first 64bit server

or you can chown +x ioUrbanTerror.i386 if your conferable in the term

Not sure what poke the permission means??

Installing the ia32 libraries right now - wondering how I would ever know to do that without asking you lol..?
