This is almost certainly overheating. The other binary may not do it because it might marginally do something different, e.g. trigger an overheating switch on the hardware slightly earlier for an obscure reason.
I'd suggest to to clean the computer's vents, check out its cooling system etc. (notice dust is very serious even if it doesn't 'look' much).

Ok, sorry about this, I've forgot to tell you that I've a Thermaltake ARMOR case with an embedded a CPU liquid cooling system. But a bug is around the corner and, to be sure, I've tried the standard *new* CPU eatsink+fan. (wtf noise, dam). Nothing, the problem still persist.
After a power off I've checked in the BIOS the CPU temp and it was normal.

64bit.

net_socksEnabled 1 doesn't work. Sys_GetPacket() sets ->readcount = 10 to strip off the header, but the caller doesn't care about this.
Is the git tree available somewhere?

Hi, I'm using Mitsubishi files and the 64 bit version seems to be a little slow in hit detection. I run 32 bit version and hit detection improved a lot, but sound become really a bullshit.
Is there any set I have to change/adjust in order to have a nice sound on 32 bit version?

I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 2.6.32-30-generic #59-Ubuntu on a x86_64 GNU/Linux i5 intel CPU

these are my sound settings:

Quote

seta cg_autoradio "0"
setA cg_hitsound "1"
seta cg_stereoSeparation "0"
seta dmaEX_EffectsEnable "1"
seta dmaEX_interpolation "3"
seta dmaEX_StereoSeparation "0.9"
setA s_distance "100"
setA s_doppler "1.0"
//setA s_enable_a3d
seta s_khz "22"
setA s_max_distance "1000"
setA s_min_distance "3"
seta s_mixahead "0.2"
seta s_mixPreStep "0.05"
seta s_musicvolume "-0.010416"
setA s_occfactor "0.5"
setA s_occlude "1"
setA s_reflect "0"
setA s_rolloff "1.0"

seta s_sdlSpeed "0"
seta s_smpRepeat "16"

thanks

Do you have the latest version with dmaHD?

Quote

/dmaHD_enable
This will enable (1) or disable (0) dmaHD.
Default: "1"

/dmaHD_interpolation
This will set the type of sound re-sampling interpolation used.
0 = No interpolation
1 = Linear interpolation
2 = 4-point Cubic spline interpolation
3 = 4-point Hermite spline interpolation
(This option needs a total game restart after change)
Default: "3"

/dmaHD_mixer
This will set the active mixer:
10 = Hybrid-HRTF [3D]
11 = Hybrid-HRTF [2D]
20 = dmaEX2
21 = dmaEX2 [No reverb]
30 = dmaEX
(This option changes mixers on the fly)
Default: "10"

In case you just want to use the default stereo UrT sound you have to disable dmaHD (or dmaEX in your case).

mitsubishi Thanks! I love the google translate! (this is enough of a reason to run your executable) I use the cl_autotimenudge 1 and hit autotimenudge about every other death (it must be the reason I died! lol) I just started to use the bumby and it really brought some life back to the game! (the sun may be a little to much on some maps) Thanks once again! scan

Hi!

I tested the actual version. It's great, especially the Sourround sound!

But I have an issue: Loading a map stucks while loading the .bsp file. I think this is because of the pre-caching. But in my case, this is not very helpful, because I can't conntect to various servers, if loading map needs so muh time. I run into a timeout.

Is there a possibility to disable precaching?

Greetings
BlumentopfErde

Hi,
I downloaded the last version of 32 bit mitsubishi exe. I would like to use 32 bit because hit detections seems to work better.
When I try to use it toghether with Teamspeak 3, I receive this message:

...
ALSA lib ../../../src/pcm/pcm_dmix.c:1010:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave
SDL_OpenAudio() failed: No available audio device
Sound initialization failed.

...

if I start TS first, I have no sound in UrT, if I start UrT first I have no sound in TS.

Note that 64 bit mitsubishi exe works perfectly togheter with TS3.
I also installed TS 32 bit but it is still incompatible.

I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 on a intel I5 CPU

some suggestion?

mitsubishi,

Is this project still being maintained?

Why isn't this thread pinned at the top of the forums like the other projects?
