PB kicks me with some wierd error as soon as I log onto any server... I don't understand what my problem is at this point... please help!
error:
"Server Disconected - You have been kicked bvia punkbuster (for 0 min) ... pb GUID

I'm running Quake III 1.32b on a Pentium IV with 512mb of ram,
Mandrake Linux 10.0
Kernal 2.6-ish

1. make sure your cdkey is actually a valid one
2. make sure you can reach the auth server (authorize.quake3arena.com)
3. it might also be that the auth server and the game server see you on different ips/ports. if that is the case, they cant make sure youre authed proberly and therefore youll be kicked with above message.

hmmm...
Well I my original cd-key is long-lost, but i keygen-ed it and the game says it's valid.
I can't ping that server, and http requests are refused so i don't know if it can see me. It should be ok though. can i test this somehow?
how would i test for the last senerio?

server seems to filter icmp packets. anyway, just make sure it resolves right.
keygen'd keys though only work locally, on non-pb servers and on pb guid relaxed servers.
