Server not seen in server list Rate Topic: -----

but does appear on this website...

Hi, I run a server at rkaw.pl (resolves to 89.72.102.103) on UDP port 27960, but it does not show up in the server list in game. It's reachable from the outside, though: http://www.urbanterr....102.103:27960/ and I can see it on the Polish server list: http://www.urbanterr...rs/list/?loc=pl .

What is happening? O.o

EDIT: this only happens in ioquake3, not ioUrT. Why is ioquake3 discriminated against on the master server? (I'm using protocol version 68, com_gamename q3ut4, gamename q3ut4 - apparently ioUrT does not send any com_gamename to the server O.o)

This is an old topic, but I want to help anyone who may be searching for this information out there.

In qcommon/q_shared.h you need to go to the #ifdef STANDALONE section, change the values to the following:

#ifdef STANDALONE
#define PRODUCT_NAME "ioq3"
#define BASEGAME "q3ut4"
#define CLIENT_WINDOW_TITLE "ioUrbanTerror"
#define CLIENT_WINDOW_MIN_TITLE "ioUrT"
#define HOMEPATH_NAME_UNIX ".q3a"
#define HOMEPATH_NAME_WIN "q3ut4"
#define HOMEPATH_NAME_MACOSX HOMEPATH_NAME_WIN
#define GAMENAME_FOR_MASTER "Quake3Arena" // must NOT contain whitespace
#define LEGACY_PROTOCOL // You probably don't need this for your standalone game

then in your makefile.local make sure BUILD_STANDALONE=1

recompile, and your build should list itself after it sends a heartbeat to the master

I thought you just had to run the game with the standalone flag.

i.e.


./ioq3.i386 +set standalone "1" +set fs_game "q3ut4" +set fs_basepath /dir/to/q3ut4 +set fs_homepath /dir/to/q3ut4 +set dedicated 2

Hi guys,

I'm having a problem trying to put a urt server listed in master list.

I forwarded all ports needed (UDP 27950 and 27960). For sv_durl I forwarded 8080 (the domestic router that I'm using doesn't allow me to disable 80, so i'm using 8080). All working fine but in games.log can't find any entry showing that he's sending any heartbeat to master. The server is linux and he has only a private IP address. The public fixed IP address is on the domestic router I mentioned above.

In master I have this result but it still doesn't appear in that list.

Can you give me any hint to help me troubleshoot this, please?

Home servers are not officially supported. although the answer to the problem is quite clear once you click your link.

I tried to open that range forwarding all traffic to internal IP address, but stills it doesn't appear in server list.

I don't know why it appears in both master servers and why it's using those ports...I thought 27950 and 27960 should be enough.

Hi there,

I need some help, all my servers disappeared from master server list.
Until today there was no problem at all and I didn't change anything.

My servers are not shown here:

(no servers from Hungary)

(no hit after the search for my clan tag: =KRH= )

But I checked (with a program) and my servers answer to getstatus and getinfo and here it seems there is answer:

I tried already to restart the servers, and the firewall rate limit rule.

WTF am I blacklisted at FS? Or do you have any other explanation? Thanks for any hint or help:

I just would like to inform you, that my problem is solved. It was about then when the master server IPs were changed, and my firewall dropped the heartbeats from the LAN to the WAN. So this is why other queries worked.
