Hello, the first months i played the game it runs with 80-90 fps, 800x600, 32 bits textures, now i'm playing 640x480, 16 bit textures, no blood, no bullet holes in the wall, game looks like an old galaga.., even so i get 10-15 fps every time i cross an enemy and start so shot, it seems i'm looking at a photo album each time i need to aim.
I'm about to stop playing, i unistaled game night before, imposible to play like that, and i don't have money to buy a decent computer, so.., my question is, does the game works better in linux?. i would preciate complete honesty here and not fan boy answer.
i don't want to stop playing because i love this game, problem with linux is i only use computer to play videogames, so i need a little help, if linux is a solution to me?

EDIT: Going from 80-90fps to 10-15fps is extreme. Why did that happen? Ask Windows people to help you debug that. Maybe look into sysinternals tools to find out what's hogging your CPU. It shouldn't drop in FPS like that over time.

My hard disk and motherboard broken about 3 weeks ago, i send my computer to be fixed.
the 80-90 decent fps gameplay was with my old 126Mb on-board Geforce 6150, the service changed my mother and i now have GeForce 7050 PV/NVIDIA GeForce 630a (number is biger so i supose it's a better graphic card).
i play whit stable 80 fps in some jump maps, play whit 50-70 in most oficial scrim maps, problem is when i shot or people shot me..., theres when fps fast drop to 10-15.
My computer is:
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+
1.4 GB (memory)
Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (build 2600)
GeForce 7050 PV / NVIDIA nForce 630a
Realtek High Definition Audio

It's better to look at benchmarks. Nvidia has a history of rebranding cards so higher numbers don't necessarily mean better. In the case of the above benchmarks, it does look like it is a little better than your old one.
Since the card is a little better, I would expect it to have at least similar performance. Do you have the latest drivers etc? Or maybe the old drivers? You should try to get it working in Windows.
