I tried downloading radiant using svn since i lost radiant and all my mapping stuff. (yes and all the maps i was working on) but it cannot find the server. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there somewhere else i can download the updated version of zeroradiant that is on the forums here?

svn checkout https://zerowing.ids...tkRadiant/trunk ./ZeroRadiant-src

the command i am using to download it from debian squeeze

svn: OPTIONS of 'https://zerowing.idsoftware.com/svn/radiant/GtkRadiant/trunk': could not connect to server (https://zerowing.idsoftware.com)

the error it gives

Yeah, there are some problems .. it was noticed around 6th of April this year that the content of qeradiant.com, or rather the domain, wasn't there anymore; it still isn't.

Timothee Besset from id Software assured they will take care of but there was no sign of this until the 8th if October, where he mentions he is in talks with Ryan Gordon to move the stuff over to icculus.org . This was mentioned on the gtkradiant mailing list.

So what has this all got to do with the subversion repository zerowing? I don't know but I guess this covers it too; and since zerowing isn't available currently, which also hosted the gtkradiant mailing list, maybe they're in progress of moving it right now ...

Try this site. It does not offer svn but you can get the code:

If you look closely at the page above, you will find "mfn Experimental Branch", you will find a source link, leading to https://github.com/mfn/GtkRadiant . This is at least "some" Radiant sources, namely ZeroRadiant aka 1.6 ; the master branch should be untouched, only the other branches contain some of my hacking on it.

I'm not sure if the sources alone are sufficient. I remember that during the build process external data files not under the GPL where fetched from the zerowing server, namely meta data for radiant to parse to "know" certain parts about the game. The "quake3" assets therein where the basis for UrT work. It has been quite some time I touched it ...

Edit: Btw, just saw this on the gtkradiant mailinglist at id software:

This is all being transferred to a new hosting. Might take a while.
