utterly amazing, this video has calmed some of my worries down. and made me even more desperate to download urtHD lol.
the fact that texture quality is that of quality that could rival Call of Duty ~ 4 ish? = AWESOME
Specular integration making the floor looking polished = AWESOME
the motion blur on the armor making it look more realistic in the lighting condition = AWESOME
the all new shader system with proper shadows = AWESOME
archways that are actually round in comparison to casa's octagon archways = AWESOME
all in all i think its pretty awesome in case you couldn't guess :D
P.S. and speaking of octagons....

No nitro the shadows aren't a shader system. In fact they have nothing to do with a lighting stage of the compile.
They are actually baked directly into the diffuse map. Since we have a static grid it's possible to generate a light map in max. Then that light map can be overlayed in photoshop (or even baked directly into the diffuse map in max, which ever you prefer).
Ending result are shadows you can see in the video that have no impact on performance.
Well at least not as a special effect.
@Frankie
Is a possibility of adding support for .png images being considered.
They can contain alpha channel and do the same job as .tga files while being 10 times smaller.

Well we talk about a lot of things we want to do and I’m sure the idea of .png was in there some place.
By the way you can bake a lot more than just shadows and although I think ;) Grand Hall looks good I know it could be done 10 times better by someone with real serious skills in environmental rendering.
Just a bit of a warning though since texture baking does require each element to be separately mapped it’s texture requirements are rather large so should be used only for arena type maps or individual prop objects and decals.

If I can't see the video in 720p fullscreen... ... Then I absolutely need to buy a new computer for the HD arriving. o/
Nice map. +1 to the idea of the 1 or 2 other paths to the spawns. 2 wholes aren't enough...

Don't buy it too soon, or it might be already outmoded if the HD comes in 5 years. ;)
