If you put the effort to read what Skaz said about his map nevada you would see that he wanted to make an Turnpike layoutwise map that is not only good for CTF but for TS aswell. and FS must have liked the idea and now he's finishing it, as a remake of Turnpike.

You found that old thread on the french urt community forums. It was the first map I worked on when I started mapping. I don't think you are right when you say I finished it as a replacement of turnpike.
This old map do not reflect my current mapping skills and the quality I can provide for HD. At least I hope so!

After skaz started the map 2009 & joined the FS 2011 , so maybe is just a speculation that will be a remake of a current map . Maybe the remake version is just speculation .
Or if it is started as skaz's original map and after that would be changed as remake of an existing 4.x map => the screenshots are a bit outdated .
FrozenSand must own the maps for HD (which will be close source ...) , so if it should be remade in a way that is supposed the newer map not to look as the older one ...

I remember hearing from someone that Turnpike was badly made, and it was easier for them to remake the map than to try and fix it for HD, so they did that with a new theme? looks great anyway, I like it more than turnpike from the vid
