I'm making a game server on a dedicated server on a dedicated IP on a business class internet connection. How will I add this to the list that people can download from the Urban terror program? Thanks!

Can you please confirm if I have understood you correctly? You wish to host the Urban Terror game files on your own server? Dou you want to be an official mirror of Urban Terror?

OK so I tried to set it up. My datacenter firewall has been set to DMZ everything of IP 50.193.17.251 to the server. The server is an AthlonXP with 1.5GB RAM running Windows Server 2003. However, I am unable to connect to it! I type /connect 50.193.17.251 it does not work. /connect 50.193.17.251:27960 does not work either. Windows Firewall is turned off on the server, and on my computer Norton firewall I disabled it...

I did a quick test and I ran the Minecraft server on it and I was able to connect from my computer and play just fine. I'm also remote desktopped into it just fine. Help please :)

when you start your server how are you starting it? are you using the ingame menu system or the executable ioUrTded.exe ?

I can't use the full version on RDC so i use iourtded.exe

good that is the correct way anyways.

what you need to do is add a few extra parameters to your executable when launching it.

so something like this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\UrbanTerror\ioUrTded.exe" +set fs_game q3ut4 +set +set dedicated 2 +set net_ip 50.193.17.251 +set net_port 27960 +exec server.cfg

server.cfg is your config file for your server, so it depends on what you named it.

Thanks, it does a lot of stuff in the command window now :)
But it hangs at "sending heartbeat to master.quake3arena.com" and doesn't go past that part! And I still cannot connect to it?

Edit: the CPU is stuck at 100% too

are you sure your firewall is allowing access? also make sure in your server.cfg file you have your master server setting like this:

set sv_master1 "master.urbanterror.info"
set sv_master2 "master2.urbanterror.info"
set sv_master3 ""
set sv_master4 ""
set sv_master5 ""

also I made a typo in the previous post: use this example instead:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\UrbanTerror\ioUrTded.exe" +set fs_game q3ut4 +set dedicated 2 +set net_ip 50.193.17.251 +set net_port 27960 +exec server.cfg
