Hi,
i've successfully started my UrT 4.2 dedicated server 64bit.

./Quake3-UrT-Ded.x86_64

Started tty console (use +set ttycon 0 to disable)

My server.cfg is the standard configuration... works fine, i think... but i've tried also with other custom cfgs...

However, at localhost i've this situation:

nmap -sU localhost -p 27960

Starting Nmap 5.00 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2012-10-11 12:21 CEST
Warning: Hostname localhost resolves to 2 IPs. Using 127.0.0.1.
Interesting ports on localhost (127.0.0.1):
PORT STATE SERVICE
27960/udp open|filtered quake3

Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 2.22 seconds

On my pc, running UrT 4.2 i386, my server doesn't appear... why?

I still don't understand... what doesn't "work" ... i can't help you with just a statment of "fail". I need data, logs or a detailed description of whats attually happening!

Hi,
i've installed a fresh copy of UrT 4.2 on my Debian 6.0.x server 64bit and i successfully run it. But the standard port 27960 seems to be blocked...

Nmap show this result...

PORT STATE SERVICE
27960/udp open|filtered quake3

And no firewall was installed...

How dou you run Urt 4.2 server?

I see you quote code, if you run with this ./Quake3-UrT-Ded.x86_64 i think it's wrong

Try with this

/yourpath/Quake3-UrT-Ded.x86_64 +set fs_game q3ut4 +set dedicated 2 +set net_port 27960 +set com_hunkmegs 128 +exec server.cfg

You need to pass parameters to the binary (particularly net_ip, net_port) and you need to execute a server config file -- exec server.cfg. e.g +exec server.cfg
