Map Quake to Urt

I wrote a program that 2 seconds from the map for Quake3 makes map for Urt .

Converting maps from other games has been done before and this will probably not be the last time. However, you should understand that every level designer, texture artist, modeler, sound artist and mapper (or the company they work for) holds the copyright for their work. Usually it's not allowed to modify any of their work, which includes repackaging and distribution for other games. I have not heard of a law case about this concering quake games and I understand the reasoning behind wanting to convert maps for other games (after all, they are good maps) but still, it's kind of disrespectful to the author of the map to modify without his permission.

I know it's wrong to convert and post copyrighted maps from other video games, but for the sake of consistency can you please post the levelshots pictures?

Urban Terror is still a Quake3 based mod so if you own a paid copy of the game your probably with in fair use rights. Where you could get into trouble is if the server opt makes the map and assets available via auto download to others that don't have the paid game.
3rd party though I don't see the issues as such maps are generally made available to the Quake 3 community gratis and since Urban Terror is a mod of Quake 3 in my opinion fair use has been established.
I suspect that the worst that will happen though is Zenamax will tell you to stop it but is still a roll of the dice.

The program does everything itself , is usually converted 90 cards out of 100 . I am not a professional programmer, and have not money and not going to invest ,I do it for fun . I have bad Internet and for this I use free hosting like this (urtmaps.ucoz.ru) . there are remade maps .
