FrozenSand is happy to announce that we have a brand new update ready for you! Urban Terror 4.2.015 is now available for download!! This release will reinstate the Auth system and fix a few bugs discovered in 4.2.014.
Simply run the UrTUpdater, follow the onscreen instructions: it will update your game automatically.

This update brings also a new gift: a new map created by our Nounou named Ghosttown. Ghosttown is a big playground imagined for 12 to 18 players which includes vertical gameplay and many possibilities to jump. It was first designed to be played in deathmatch modes and capture the flag.

totally love all of these listed above, except the sr8 damage being modified. i say this as a competition player with years of experience and with myself being an auto primary. far less 1 hit kills... so yes, this will upset most sr8 users... not only that autos already overpower sr8s. forget the days 1 hit kills it seems. sr8 is one of the harder weapons to actually master, and this just makes it less usable tbh. if youre set on doing this then aleast make the sr8 be able to switch faster to another weapon to be able to finish off the kill or make unzooming happen less.

THANK GOD. ...oh wait... maybe that's the kind of thing you file under "misc bug fixes" so we don't have to sort through an artificially MASSIVE list of changes for stuff that might actually matter. ;D

edit: ...and I would like to point out that the updater still says "Click 'Update' to update your game." The buttons are "Cancel" or "Download," not "Update."

posssesssed, the SR8 damage was actually lower before the update. However, I agree, that that the SR8 is still weak. Many div1 teams play even Casa without snipers these days...
