There are still tons of good NA players around... many just can't be bothered to join clans or participate in tournaments.

I speak from personal experience... though I've technically been in a clan, I never actively participated outside of pubs (other than perhaps a few scrims).

We started a league (based in Asia) with the intent of having international competition without any locational bias. You can read an interview with our founder at iourbanterror.de. Just click the little down arrow next to "Englische Originalfassung"

Our Sr8 tournament is now in it's 2nd run, and we have a full compliment of teams from all over the world, including NA, SA, Asia, and Europe. We're sticking to smaller novelty events while we get settled into the roles of league administration (I completely agree with evilelf on the trials and tribulations of managing a league), but we should be diving into more traditional 5v5 TS/Bomb/CTF seasons very soon.

We had moderate success with the first season of our Sr8 tourney, and actually, it was won by a predominately North American team! (currently .net) They are back defending their title competing along side PlayUrT 24/7, Div0 (aka Lady Boys), and [1up] from NA. BTW, I didn't see any mention of 1up in the OP.

I wish I had seen this sooner. We are clan |30+|

We’ve been playing this game for about 14 years now. I’m surprised you didn’t get our name from somewhere or other. We don’t compete anymore, but have scrimmed with LG,TD, FSK, UM3, and 6th in the past. We have about 13 members and are always recruiting.

We play mostly Sun, Wed and Fri nights. Our group is about playing the game for the sheer fun of it.

We may be interested in league play, given that it is under auth, otherwise we are open to friendly scrims.
