What will happen with servers still standing on 4.1 version?, i have my server hosted on gametracker.

SR8 works better on v4.1, not good on 4.2

Aw yea. Let's hope this attracts more conversion to 4.2. Smart to tie this in with the new year with a countdown.

Actually it should be mentioned, that this is not the real end of 4.1.

All ancient players and server admins can still use the quake3arena master server, since ALL server send per default the heartbeat to master.quake3arena.com, too.
Therefore there is no need to change anything for the server admins.
Only players will need to change their config via console: /cl_master "master.quake3arena.com"

This is not true, sr8 works fine, i've played on just about every sr8 server. The hit system is not comparable to 4.1 and you will have to get use to it, which doesn't take long. GLHF
