At the early development process I posted on the topic "What are you working on?", but now I think the map is ready for a first alpha release.
At the beginning I generated the empty terrain with a self-made "UrbanTerror-Minecraft-terrainGenerator" (completely written in Java), then I added all buildings (like bridges, wooden cabins, subway, etc.) in GTKradiant.
Small Description of the map:
A small, peaceful island somewhere in the Minecraft-Universe. The island is separated by a river.
You can reach the other side by a) swimming, b) use the bridges, c) use the subway system.
Still to improve:
- Better transition from the sea to the skymap (or a better skymap in general)
- More interactive features and Minecraft-typical things (any ideas? Please leave a comment =) )
- blah, blah, blah... There's still a lot to improve :)
Improvements in Alpha 2:
- fixed Bug with respawns under the map
- added damage when running against the cactus
- Better visibility of the Subway-Sign
- fixed Bug where you can see through the ground in the sea
Supported gamemodes: FFA, TDM, CTF, TS (made for 16 Players)
