On my mac...
I put zip in my applications.. full zip because replacing the files didnt work
unzipped.. still won't launch.. wtf?

Hi,

Same problem here, with 4.2.020 update on a Imac 24" & snow leopard.

• I 1rst used the updater and launch... nothing.

• I tried the full zip, it doesn't launch.

• I tried to start from an old 4.2.015 (launch but tell me to update) and updated it, it doesn't launch.

• I finally uninstalled all and reinstalled all the 4.2.019 fullZIP with no update, it worked on servers like casatown (still on 4.2.019 i guess) but URT crash if i try a pcw server (updated to 4.2.020 ??)

Any dev support with this mac issue ? (i have a cw tomorrow XD)

One first aid solution is to copy the "Quake3-UrT.app" from version 4.2.019 into the 4.2.020 folder and overwrite the new client(app) with the old one. Game should start now. You will only miss the security fix to prevent download of foreign qvm`s.

I tried it and it worked on FallingAngel's CTF server (4.2.020 server)
I'll try it on several servers and report if it's THE solution untill the bug is fixed.

The executable just needs permission to execute. Seems the permissions were never set, so you'll have to do it manually:

Open Terminal (in /Applications/Utilities/Terminal) and type chmod 755 /path/to/UrbanTerror/Quake3-UrT.app/Contents/MacOS/Quake3-UrT.i386, using whatever path your game is actually in. This will give it permission to actually run and you should be all set.

got game to run but now it won't play on some maps
ctf east couldnt plaly turnpike.. cl_parsestate wrong byte type or something
