this question is kinda difficult to answer....
the "best" video card for Urt will naturally be the best video cards out
and as of know i can say without bias it would be a 9800XT
however with testing with both 9800XT and fx5950 in a barton 2500, a64 3200, and a P4 3.2, i could barely "see" a difference in performance from any card in any cpu at moderate resolution of 1024x768 -but if you plan on playing full details maxed to extreme with 1600x1200 and full AA and AF, the 9800XT pulls out as the better
the 9800xt also is better at withstanding stress such as loading up 20 bots on laneway2, indicating it is more resistant to having fps spike-drops
-not to mention the general consensus seems to conclude that the 9800XT will hold up better to future games than the 5950
with that being said, many will say the best "bang for buck" or middle range video card is the 9600XT which is usually around $150
however, i believe the 9800pro is your best bet as a solid card that hold up for a cheap price which is ONLY $50 more, a card that can be easily OC'd to XT levels
if you wait 2 months this price may drop even further as ati and nvidia release their next gen cards

Thanks for your quick replys! See im running a on-board 4x AGP 64 meg video card now. I ping from the 80's to 200's and my framerate runs about in the 20's to 50's. Will running a better card help my ping, by taking the load from the CPU, and by running a better card will my "aim" be more accurate? My screen name is One Big Nemsis and im looking into joining a clan. I need some training but know most levels and have a pretty good grasp of the game.
Again THANKS!
Again THANKS!

i just got a 9800 pro, first time I strayed away from nvidia... Figured I'd give ati a chance despite my friends at home telling me to get nvidia, and my friends online telling me to get ati.
I'm happy with it so far... it's only running at the 4x agp bus speed, but I'll soon be gettin a new mb, processor, and ram. Right now I get about 80-125 fps capped at 1600x1200x32, lightmap ect.
