That looks pretty awesome Frankie!!

Would love to see that with the ability to go inside most of the buildings as well as a bit more vertical gameplay. Being able to get up on the tracks using stairs and maybe being able to access the first few floors of most buildings would help.

Hi all,

Working on a Apollo themed map somewhere between the earth and the moon on a space station.

Posted Image

Currently done is working on spherical background, spacescape is very nice program for such maps and reminds of orbital.
All video's can be viewed here, so far I have made 3 versions trying out different way's in creating a similar effect:

For vertical game play I'm planning on capping it off at about the level of the bridge and leaving the rest of the map as an open world. The second addition is to put in a subway system and expand the level downwards. I do plan on doing interiors as well but the art assets need to be modified and is rather time consuming.

My overall plan though is to do updates after release as I learn more about the tools UE4 have for making massive worlds.

Having a huge battle map should be interesting with the UrT gameplay mechanics. People used to have fun back in the day on maps like ut_forrest which were pretty large, however the camp and snipe method might hinder this sort of map.

I'll be curious to see what types of maps people will prefer when HD is released, close quarters flat combat like Casa, Large open world combat like your little project, or small-ish vertical maps like Uptown.
