So as the topic says its' failing to setup somehow.. I follow the instructions you had in the support/LinuxServerInstall. Anyway's I downloaded it with wget <Link> And had it in a folder, I tried tar -xvf (AND -zxvf) (file.tar.gz) but I kept getting this message

Quote

exmiiq@MsTServers:/home/UrbanTerror$ tar -zxvf UrbanTerror_42.tar.gz

gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

I did put the permissions and everything so that shouldn't have been a problem. So after that failing like 100 times I decided to Unzip from my PC ( Using windows ) And then upload to the VPS through FTP, but then when I tried to run it it said no such file or directory but when I was typing ls it was right there.. I just have no idea whats going on obviously I have done something wrong I guess but I have no idea what and why this is happening.. Please help me :)

edit: I know it doesn't say the _ded version when I try to unzip but I tried that also but still got the same problem. I put permission for everything also of course.

So I downloaded the fullgame version.. Now after I setup the server.cfg and so I tried to start the server with the start.sh script I got which starts ./Quake3-UrT-Ded.i386 But then I got this message again..

Quote

./start.sh: line 7: ./Quake3-UrT-Ded.i386: No such file or directory

urt@MsTServers:/home/UrbanTerror/UrbanTerror42$ ls
mingwm10.dll Quake3-UrT-Ded.i386 urt.pid
q3ut4 Quake3-UrT-Ded.x86_64 UrTUpdater.app
QtCore4.dll Quake3-UrT.exe UrTUpdater_Ded.i386
QtGui4.dll Quake3-UrT.i386 UrTUpdater_Ded.x86_64
QtNetwork4.dll Quake3-UrT_Logitech_Game_Recognition.reg UrTUpdater.exe
Quake3-UrT.app Quake3-UrT.x86_64 UrTUpdater.i386
Quake3-UrT-Ded.exe start.sh UrTUpdater.x86_64
urt@MsTServers:/home/UrbanTerror/UrbanTerror42$

And as you can see I posted that it is exisiting in there.

Hi,
Either the Path is wrong in your start.sh or the binary does not have execute permission.
Also if you are using 64bit ubuntu, you are better of using 64bit binary.
