Has any work begun on the dedicated server? does the UE4 engine lighten the workload of this?
We've created a build bot which creates fully packaged client / server builds. We're currently running a dedicated server on a Windows VM and it seems to work quite well.
Also I was able to build a dedicated server on Linux but for some reason it crashes at startup. I'll need to investigate further but apart from that, we should be able to offer Windows and Linux dedicated server builds when time comes for a game release.

Can you say something about minimal requeriments for this servers? I know that we are still on early version but, can you say something about that?
Thanks

Are there any plans to port over the HRTF (DMA audio) to UrT HD or are you going to try and make do with the stock sound system.
From what I have read UT4 has HRTF althou it is apartentely broken on linux.
Out of curiosity, because I do realize that it is premature, but nevertheless have you got your build bot to build the linux client?

If you are really curious you could install the Unreal Tournaments 4 Server/client and give it a try I'm sure the performance would be similar.
There are links to binaries over on the unreal forums.

what is shown in the dev blog videos is footage from the early stages of the Urban Terror HD alpha, which is yet to be finished and released.
There is, however, a (not as good looking), a currently played version, which is Urban Terror 4.2.023 ()
//edit Iye:
fixed the link. get.urbanterror.info doesnt work?
