Setting g_gravity seems to have no effect. I am not sure if there is a competing setting that I am missing. I used to love to load one of the taller maps and set the gravity low, that was in previous versions. now with this version the g_gravity setting in the server.cfg seems to have no effect.

it should still work.
i would assume that your server hasnt loaded the new server.cfg.
or maybe you start it via the ingame server setup. that one doesnt use the server cfg either iirc.

Sorry for my bad spelling - I am still asleep. :)

Sorry to say that the only reliable way to set the gravity is after the map has been loaded - setting it in server.cfg wont work 100% if at all .... likewise, it won't work if you set it in the mapcycle config file.
For an automated solution, afraid that you need to use something like b3 or a script that detects that the map has been loaded and then sets g_gravity to what ever you require ...

Have you tried to set the g_gravity value right after the map loads in your config?
For example, in the default server configuration file that would be right at the end, in the "EXEC CONFIRMATION" block, like
map ut4_casa // What map to start with?
g_gravity 100 // moon mode yay
That seems to work for me
The gravity setting will not persist if you try loading another map though.

true - that will work, but as you said it will reset to default after a map reload / map change.
My "only reliable way" comment was in the context of a live server with a required lifetime of greater than one map
load.
Fubar/torbsie - I can dig out one of my old bash scripts that, if you are running on a linux server with bash shell access, might prove useful ... (It needs nothing over and above what a default linux server install will have available)
Shout if you want it ...
